Kathryn Chan of CSII

Kathryn Chan is a medical student at McMaster University passionate about the intersection of medicine and technology. She previously studied biomedical engineering at McMaster and was a teaching assistant for aEngineering Design and Graphics 1C03, where students modelled and 3D printed solutions to engineering problems. Working as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Surgical Invention and Innovation, she was responsible for the development of the IGAR automated breast biopsy platform. Her contributions to IGAR development include the production and design of the IGAR’s 3D printed toolset and its regulatory approval.
